Description
Series consisting of nine original color lithographs on J. Green paper, four of which belong to the famous Jasper’s Dilemma series and five to the Les Indes Galantes cycle, both created by Frank Stella in 1973 and published by Petersburg Press Ltd. in London.
The works are signed, dated, and numbered in pencil 84/100, with the publisher's dry stamp in the lower right corner.
Although distinct, the two cycles share the geometric structure and compositional rigor typical of Stella's work: a reflection on the relationship between color, structure, and seriality.
In Jasper's Dilemma, the artist alternates modules of concentric polychrome and monochrome squares.
Les Indes Galantes, on the other hand, introduces a more dynamic and decorative tone.
