"Corpus Christi, Polychrome Wood, 17th Century"
Wooden Corpus Christi, 17th century. The details of the arms, feet, and face, as well as the torso, date the work to the mid-17th century. Examining the perizonium, traces of gilding are visible. The expressiveness of Christ's face is extraordinary, in his serene surrender to pain. The painting still shows traces of blood red on the side and feet.
