Very beautiful work by the Swiss artist Samuel BIRMANN (1793-1847). This is a color aquatint signed lower left and measuring: - 16.5 x 22 cm (subject). - 19 x 23.5 cm (view). - 35 x 39 cm (frame). The work is titled at the bottom in the middle: "La Mer de Glace vue du Montanvert". It is presented in its very elegant period frame. Some scratches on the frame, visible in the photographs.
