Oil on a beautiful oak panel depicting a horseman calling out to a servant girl descending a staircase with a carafe of wine in his hand. In the background on the left, a fortified town on high ground is surrounded by soldiers on foot or on horseback. The panel is framed in a molded oak wood frame, veneered with fruitwood. The painting is the work of a 17th-century Dutch painter, working in the circle of Philippe Wouverman. The panel alone measures 31.3x26.6 cm.
