A Carved Half Coconut Dated August 1881
Artist: Inconnu
Half a coconut...
Entirely carved manually...
Certainly a work of the convicts of Cayenne...
From the 19th century, dated August 1881... With a dedication for Alexandrine Chavepaire...
With two openwork friezes as well as the flower frieze and lastly, the cameo surround where the initials are carved...
For information, the more classic ones are engraved in the surface layer of the nut and not openwork in the thickness...!
Some small missing parts and two small parts of the frieze glued back together...
Dirt that I am removing little by little...!
I took as many photos as possible if you need more, don't hesitate...
The silk fabric is original...
Weight... 43 gr
