Usa Transitional "two Trigger" Revolver By "whitney-haven" (1852-1854) - Patented - Cal 32

Curious and rare percussion revolver without mechanical system from the manufacturer E-WHINEY & N-HAVEN between 1852 & 1854 made in less than 600 to 1000 copies. Model called transitional TWO TRIGGER (two triggers) made in the USA between 1852 and 1854. This revolver with cylinder with 5 projectiles to turn by hand and no partition between the chimneys was obviously designed only to elude the basic patent of the Colt revolver. The cylinder is released by pulling the front trigger to be able to turn by hand. This revolver bears the numbering 90 & the letter H. The brass frame bears on the right side "Patent applied for". On the left side at the height of the cylinder and under the front of the 1st trigger the letter H & the N°90. Octagonal barrel screwed onto the brass frame carrying sighting organ and on the upper band "E-WHITNEY - N-HAVEN CT" in caliber 32. Rectangular trigger under trigger guard for single action of the hammer. Lug system for locking and unlocking the guide rod for fixing the barrel. Stock with wooden plate fixed by a through screw. Operation reduced to the simple effect of rotating the barrel manually. Cocking the hammer in single action of the thumb, functional. All metal parts in gray patina & brass frame.
