Antique-style Porcelain Lidded Crater Vase, Germany, 20th Century
Large white-glazed porcelain lidded urn resting on a rectangular base decorated with a beaded molding and acanthus leaves. The body is decorated with a rounded cartouche with rosettes and a rose garland in relief. Above this rises a round, leaf-decorated foot, leading to a krater-shaped vase. The lower section is gadrooned, with side handles framing a figural scene on the body. The rim is decorated with another kymation frieze. The lid bears matching decoration and is crowned with a pine cone finial. Underglaze blue mark: monogram under a crown, unidentified.
