Large Art Deco Vase By Charles Schneider, Signed Le Berlingot Tricolore - 20th Century

Very large and original Art Deco style vase by Charles Schneider with a flared neck, "Coqueret" model in multi-layered glass with stylized orange and green floral plant decoration on a yellow background, signed "Berlingot tricolore" on the foot at the back. Sought after by collectors, the tricolor berlingot marks an older period (1918-circa 1922-24) and therefore potentially more limited. Charles Schneider (1881-1953) is one of the great names in French glass art of the early 20th century alongside Gallé and Daum. He founded his own glassworks with his brother Ernest in Epinay-sur-Seine around 1913-1918.
