Review That Jacques LEBOURGEOIS, a teacher by training, made a career in the steel industry, why not! That he became over the years a jazz pianist and a highly appreciated novelist, it's amazing! But that he established himself as a recognized painter, thus returning to his first loves, it's exemplary. Especially since, as a good Norman, Jacques LEBOURGEOIS devoted his art to the motifs of his native region for the most part, and more precisely to the dynamic effects of the climate of the Cotentin and the Pays de Caux, like his great elders of the Rouen School. One cannot resist the vocation and the artist proved it in works devoted to the incessant discovery of atmospheres, nature, the elements, where his brilliance masterfully captured the brilliance of a magical moment, of a reality transcended by poetry and spirit. The touch knew how to be supple, powerful, always authentic and of a captivating harmony which honored a figurative art always lively thanks to painters of this value that we never cease to miss. André RUELLAN, art critic
