Locket in 18Kt rose gold and silver (hallmark: eagle's head), oval in shape, the front of which is adorned with a carved lapis lazuli scarab, in a surround of natural pearls and rose-cut diamonds (whose total weight is estimated at approximately 0.35Ct). Secret compartment on the back allowing you to slip in dried flowers, a photo or a lock of hair of the loved one. Original magnifying glass on the back.
French work from the 19th century, circa 1870.
Sold in a purple velvet case, in the shape, signed by the jeweler Bassot, 17 rue de la Paix, Paris, who took over the Jacta house between 1868 and 1886.
