Original lithograph printed in color on wove paper depicting the woodcock, plate from the series The Hunt. Framed under glass. Edouard Traviès de Villers (March 25, 1809 – 1876) began with his brother Charles Joseph in caricature. He specialized in painting birds and insects in watercolor and exhibited regularly at the Salon between 1831 and 1866. He produced numerous lithographs.
