Garden Furniture No. 2 By Folke Bensow (1886-1971), Sweden, Circa 1923
Bench with black lacquered iron side supports and later added wooden slats. Foundry: Näfveqvarn. Bensow presented his work at major exhibitions, including the 1925 Paris World's Fair. For the Näfveqvarn foundry, he designed several garden pieces that were exhibited not only in Paris in 1925, but also at the Metropolitan Museum in New York in 1927.
