Gothic Style Throne Chair / Cathedral Chair

Gothic Style Oak Throne or Gothic Castle Armchair. Magnificent and monumental solid oak throne in the Gothic castle style. 19th century French work with a tapestry in the back representing "hearing" in The Lady and the Unicorn from the famous Cluny Museum. The pediment is very worked in the Flamboyant Gothic style with polychromy in the upper rounded interior part. We find the cabbage leaf, the napkin folds and the arrowheads, all these symbols of the flamboyant Gothic style. Under the seat part, we find a chest allowing storage. It is possible to dismantle this piece of furniture in 2 parts.
