Biscuit porcelain from LIMOGES, Woman in ceremonial dress from the Middle Ages entitled "Neo-Gothic Ball" by Léo LAPORTE-BLAIRSY (1865-1923). Sculptor, medalist from Toulouse, student of Alexandre FALGUIERE and Antonin MERCIE. Member of the Salon des Artistes Français since 1897. At the Universal Exhibition of 1900 he obtained a silver medal and also later the Legion of Honor in 1903 ... He particularly likes to represent medieval subjects with symbolic or poetic value. He is considered by his creations as part of the Art Nouveau Movement. Several of his works are kept at the Musée des Augustins in Toulouse and can also be seen on Place de la Concorde and on the facade of the Ecole des Beaux Arts.
