Edouard Tourteau (Brussels, 1846-1908). He became known as a painter, watercolorist, engraver and sculptor, notably for his works on earthenware and porcelain. He was also a portrait painter at the end of the 19th century, known for his refined style and skillful play of light and shadow. He exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon and gained renown thanks to his portraits of Parisian personalities, attracting international collectors.
