18th-century Alsatian Louis XVI chest of drawers, inlaid.
Projecting front with three drawers.
Wooden top, edged in end grain (small pieces juxtaposed next to each other), a typical Alsatian characteristic.
Wood species used: walnut, fruitwood, contrasting Greek-style fretwork, and simpler blackened pearwood fretwork on all three sides, up to the sheathed legs.
French-varnish finish
Handles decorated with a knot and laurel wreath, later, and three antique locks.
