"Pair Of Medici Vases On Plinths, Early 19th Century"
Pair of Medici vases on a base in gunmetal patinated bronze and gilt bronze from the Charles X period. The bowls have a flared profile with an upper rim decorated with a rich frieze of pearls and egg motifs. The lower part of the bowls is decorated with carved and gilded acanthus leaves, enhancing the contrast with the gunmetal patina. Each bowl has two curved handles with foliate motifs. Motifs of acanthus leaves, laurel leaves, pearls, eggs, gadroons... On the rectangular base a rustic bouquet of wheat and roses, cornflowers and daisies intertwined by a rope.
