"Louis XVI Walnut Cylinder Desk"
Important Louis XVI cylinder desk in walnut. It opens with 16 drawers plus the cylinder. The interior reveals drawer compartments and a sliding writing desk covered with original green braided leather. The cylinder uprights are rounded with rudentée fluting. Ornamentation of brass-plated rods. Fluted and rudentée spindle base finished with bronze sabots. Top in blue turquin marble. Oak swags. Walnut back. Locks and keys. Period early 19th century. Knobs and rear entries. Very good condition.
