Chinese-inspired decorations were then fashionable and reflected the fascination of Europeans for the Orient and its influence on the Decorative Arts. A great lover of antiques, André Raynaud acquired an earthenware plate in 1974, the designs of which he admired and decided to transpose them onto his delicate, fine and transparent porcelain, allowing a perfect and vibrant rendering of the designs and colors.
