Rare Louis XV period solid silver chocolate pot resting on three "hoof" feet with cartouche attachments. Pouring spout topped with a flap, and encircled in the middle with strong threads with below a shell framed with foliage with falling flower bud. The hinged lid ends with a movable disc (intended to let a frother pass through) topped with a spinning top button. Turned wooden side handle. Charge and Discharge hallmarks for PARIS 1762-68, Jurande hallmark for PARIS 1767 (Crowned D) and Hallmarks of Master Goldsmith Guillaume-Denis DELAMOTTE (Hallmark with the initials "GDL" and flower) received in 1756. Rare Louis XV period chocolate pot in good general condition, micro-scratches of use. For the informed collector ... Do not take into account the reflections on the photos.
