The inscription "More than yesterday
and less than tomorrow" is taken from the
Parisian poem by Rosemand Gérard,
written in 1890 for her husband.
"Because you see, every day I love you more,
today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow."
It was the Lyon jeweler Alphonse Augis
who had the idea of adapting this verse
into jewelry.
