English solid silver cock watch signed by the watchmaker James Richards (he entered Thomas Layton's workshop on 1 September 1763 before setting up on his own on 8 October 1770 according to British Museum sources). Working condition, complete with its protective silver case. Restoration to the hinge and closure of a lid to be reviewed
