Rare Indian ink drawing, enhanced with watercolor. Depicts a 19th century steam fire engine emblematic of the transition between hand pumps and motorized fire trucks. Mounted on a horse-drawn cart and used to supply pressurized water for firefighting. This drawing corresponds to models produced by Merryweather or Shand Mason, widely exported to Europe. Monogram G and dated 1884. Drawing sold individually, to be framed.
