It represents a seated mermaid holding an amphora from which water springs, surmounting a large circular basin resting on a pedestal decorated with marine and organic motifs. The texture work and the shades of green and white glazes recall the naturalist inspiration and the audacity of Vallauris creations in the second half of the 20th century. A rare piece due to its iconography, its dimensions and its sculptural presence.
