- The series derives from inventions by Giambattista Piazzetta (Venice 1683 - Venice 1754), later engraved by Marco Alvise Pitteri (Venice 1702 - Venice 1786).
- From top left, the apostles are depicted: Saint John the Evangelist, Saint James the Greater, Saint Philip, Saint Thomas, Saint Andrew, and Saint James the Less.
Condition report: Five original canvases and one lined. The painted surface is in good condition, with signs of aging and wear. The paintings are presented in original 18th century frames.
