"Walnut And Walnut Veneer Pedestal Table, Marble Top, 19th Century"
Elegant circular pedestal table resting on a truncated cone-shaped walnut shaft, supported by a tripod base with rounded lines. The top is topped with dark marble (probably Belgian black), inserted into a walnut veneer belt. The sobriety of the silhouette and the quality of the walnut recall the productions of the first half of the 19th century, in the tradition of Restoration and July Monarchy furniture. This type of pedestal table, both refined and functional, adorned bourgeois living rooms and served as a side table or support for decorative objects.
