In 1886, he received a scholarship from the Diputación de Granada to go to Rome, which allowed him to live and work abroad (especially in Italy and France) and to connect with other artists such as José Villegas Cordero and Joaquín Sorolla. On display at the Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, at 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
