In 18k rose gold. Round in shape, with an engraved radiating décor, it is adorned with the famous verse “+ qu’hier - que demain” (“more than yesterday, less than tomorrow”), set in white gold, rose gold, and calibrated rubies. The border is delicately scalloped and faceted.
Signed A.A. on the front, with the master’s hallmark of Maison Augis.

History & Style:
The Augis love medals have become true icons of sentimental jewelry.
Inspired by the verse of Arsène Houssaye from his poem Les Grandes Dames (1858), they encapsulate in miniature form the eternal promise:
“For you see, each day I love you more,
today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.”
A few decades later, the poetess Rosemonde Gérard, wife of Edmond Rostand, revived and popularized these words in her poem L’Éternelle Chanson (1889). It was Gérard’s version, which entered the collective memory, that inspired the Lyonnais jeweler Augis at the end of the 19th century.
Augis transformed these verses into love medals, turning words into a universal symbol of devotion: delicate jewels where poetry meets gold and precious stones, offered as tokens of love and passed down through generations.
These medals endure through time without ever losing their intensity. Behind them lies a beautiful literary history, where two voices meet to express the same universal sentiment: a love that grows day by day.
