Meissen porcelain, “Rooster on a woodpile,” late 19th century to early 20th century.

Domestic rooster standing on a wooden base, this rooster has magnificent plumage with a naturalistic design and intense colors, painted in polychrome. Designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1741. Model no. 1661; crossed swords mark.
