Antique 19th century Catholic reliquary, in silver-plated brass, containing three second-class relics (pieces of clothing): Saint Charles Borromeo (1538-1584), Archbishop of Milan, great reformer of the Church, canonized in 1610. Saint John the Baptist, the Forerunner, cousin of Christ, major figure of the New Testament, martyred by Herod. Saint Matilda (circa 895-968), Queen of Germany, known for her piety, humility and charitable works.
