Description
Original lithographed poster created by Jean Cocteau to announce an exhibition of his pottery at the Galerie Pont des Arts (at Lucie Weill, Paris). Printed by the prestigious Ateliers Mourlot, who collaborated with the greatest artists of the 20th century (Picasso, Chagall, Miró, Matisse). This work demonstrates Cocteau's unique graphic style, with a stylized profile drawn in a continuous gesture and vivid colors that reflect the spirit of his ceramic creations from Vallauris. Rarity: Jean Cocteau's original posters published by Mourlot in the 1950s are particularly sought after today. Designed as exhibition materials, not all of them have been preserved, making them rare pieces on the market.
