Large Antique Vase
Large antique-style vase from the grounds of a house in Thonon-les-Bains, with a beautiful patina of age. Good condition. Reconstituted stone. 1950/60.
This vase is a copy inspired by the Vix Krater. The Vix Krater is a bronze vase used to hold wine, discovered in 1953 in the tomb of Vix, the burial place of a Celtic princess in Vix, and dated to around 530 BC. It is preserved and exhibited at the Musée du Pays Châtillonnais in Châtillon-sur-Seine.
