Chiselled silver ferrule.
Blackened wooden tang carved with a criss-cross pattern.
Oval yellow glass pommel, chiselled silver cap.
Wooden scabbard covered in black leather, decorated with a coin.
Chased silver chape and bolster.
In Scottish Gaelic, the term ‘sgian dubh’ means ‘small knife’. It is one of the attributes of the officers of the Gordon Highlanders.
