After completing his higher education, he attended the Boulle school from 1918 to 1922. In 1923, he joined the art studio of the Grand Magasin du Louvre, called Studium Louvre, where he was director from 1927 to 1937.
His work on seating, like our set of chair, reflects a constant search for balance between minimalism and expressiveness. Each piece, often designed in limited editions or custom-made, reveals meticulous attention to details, textures and ergonomics. Whether through the use of solid wood, metal or ceramic, Kohlmann transforms everyday objects into true works of art. Elegant silhouettes, harmonious proportions, and a strong identity that fits equally well in contemporary interiors as in more classic spaces. His work is regularly exhibited in international galleries and fairs.
