"Antique Italian Baroque Mirror"
Large and important antique Italian Baroque mirror in carved, lacquered, and gilded wood, with a contoured profile and rocaille decorations, festoons, and floral motifs. This exceptional mirror comes from Palazzo Mazzarino in Palermo. The Mazzarinos were one of the most powerful and important aristocratic families in Sicily, and were the family of the powerful Cardinal Mazarin at the court in Paris, advisor to Louis XIV, the Sun King.
