Superb silver-plated Empire style coffee and tea service, 5 pieces, from the end of the 19th century. Consisting of a coffee pot, a teapot, a sugar bowl, a milk jug and a tray. Very beautiful pouring spouts decorated with eagle heads, clawed base, palmette motifs. Goldsmith's mark BB to be identified, perhaps Blaise Bontemps? The set is in fairly good condition, some signs of use, some wear to the silvering, particularly under the tray, some very slight shocks, and a crack in the ebony handle of the milk jug.
