Large glazed ceramic dish by the French artist Jean Rivier (1915-2017) representing a tree and its roots with the inscription "the tree is a road between water and the sun" engraved on the top, sublime glaze also on the reverse.
Atypical piece by the artist, very rarely seen colors. Signed and dated under the heel "Potier Jean Rivier, 1950".
