"Pair Of Large Twisted Vases In Painted And Gilded Porcelain, 19th Century"
An elegant pair of covered vases with twisted decoration, made of blue-ground porcelain richly enhanced with gilding. The central part is decorated with animated scenes depicting figures in 18th-century costume, alternating with finely executed landscapes. The vases rest on quadrangular bases in chased gilt bronze decorated with scrolls and medallions. The lids are topped with gilded pine cone-shaped handles.
Each piece bears a painted mark under the base. Work from the second half of the 19th century, in the style of Meissen / Sèvres. High-quality decorative pieces with refined decoration and original shapes.
