Very fine handwritten antiphonary leaf on vellum. Italy Late 15th century (circa 1480-1500).
Under glass frame.

Frame size: 34 x 28 cm
Handwritten leaf in black and red ink, decorated with a large decorated and illuminated initial on a gold background.
This style of initials decorated with scrolls and leaves extending into the margin with gold bezants is found in Italian choir books, especially those from Florence where similar examples can be found (cf. A. Labriola, I manoscritti miniati del Museo San Marco a Firenze, Florence).
Very good condition.
