FALASHA Head The face is elongated, the nose is linear and sculpted in relief. The eyes are modeled and represented by terracotta beads, and the mouth is drawn by a horizontal incision with hemmed lips. The characteristic headdress is incised with motifs suggesting braided plaits pulled back, extending and forming a kind of flat bun. Ethiopia, Axum, 5th - 7th century. Orange and brown terracotta. Sold with a base. Good condition with marks of time and use due to its age. Provenance: Former French private collection after inheritance.
