Flat steel spring
Quillon crossguard and Chassepot-style ring.
Blade fixed to the handle, marked ‘QUI VIVE ? France ! QUAND MÊME 1870-18’ (Who goes there? France! Even so, 1870-18), motto of the League of Patriots by Paul Déroulède in 1882, registered ‘8’.
Leather belt loop marked ‘V GARRIGUES TOULOUSE’.
