"Castelli Earthenware Pistol, Early 18th Century, In Need Of Restoration"
Faience pistol, most likely Castelli, from Southern Italy, with an ochre main body, highlighted in blue for: the flintlock in relief, the hammer, the scroll decoration on the top. A similar model is kept in the Pesaro Museum, from the Mazza collection. The pistol presented requires restoration, but retains its charm and original decoration, offering a fine example of Castelli faience from Southern Italy from the late 17th or early 18th century.
