Large X-shaped Stool, Known As Folding. 19th Century.
Large Louis XIV style carved and lacquered wooden folding chair. X-shaped base, centered on a large floral motif, finished with scrolled feet. Side crosspieces decorated with rosettes, typical of so-called "en ployant" models. Solid seat in very good condition, requiring only the last fabric to be applied or not. France, mid-19th century.
