""the World Upside Down - Horse Racing Distractions" Hugo Grygkar In 1946 - "hermes" - Paris"
"THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN, Horse EntertainmentsVery rare Hermès collector's scarf, illustrated in 1946 by Hugo Grygkar, this example is therefore 79 years old. It represents horses' heads drawn in a humorous way, the horses are wearing the jokey hat. In silk twill with hand-rolled edges, it is set on an ivory background with light caramel borders. The title of this illustration and that of the House of Hermès appear centered, the copyright having been affixed only in 1967, it is therefore absent from this 79-year-old scarf. Despite its great age and its imperfections due to the passage of time (two stains), see the details on the photos, this scarf remains in reasonably good condition of conservation and use. Rare and sought after by collectors and lovers of very old Hermès scarves, this example remains a model practically sold out and forgotten. Would deserve a beautiful frame if you do not want to wear it. The silk is still beautiful and the colors are vivid.
