An important Pavia majolica dish, attributable to the Rampini factory, circa 1685-1720. With a beautiful diameter of 38 cm, it depicts two figures in a theatrical landscape, framed by a monumental arch opening onto an Italian sky. This decoration, of great pictorial quality, illustrates the refinement of Lombard production at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. On the reverse, the mark "CR" attests to the workshop of Carlo Giuseppe Rampini (active in Pavia between 1685 and 1720). Over three centuries old, this dish retains all its decorative strength and deserves a restoration that will fully highlight the richness of its enamel and decoration.
