Signed portrait of Gérard Altmann (1923-2012), oil on canvas signed and dated 50. This artist, from a line of painters, Alexandre Altmann being his grandfather, began his career in figuration and characters from the Paris of yesteryear. He was at the beginning a theater decorator. Initially figurative made of a heavy and thick material of dark tones, his painting subsequently evolved towards abstraction, becoming lighter and more transparent. Retrospective in 2007 at the Morlaix museum.
