Oil on wood panel of a young man kneeling in front of a cage from which a bird is escaping. This unsigned 19th century painting is in impeccable condition and reflects its own light. Its original wooden frame is very well crafted. It is engraved with geometric shapes and sculpted with foliage, flowers and fruit. Note a slight lack of gilding in the lower part.
