Porcelain teapot with a characteristic brown glaze, decorated with enamel paints and gilding. The name for brown glazed goods "Bativia" or "Bativian" probably comes from the city of Jakarta, which was at that time the trading center of the Dutch East India Company (importing Chinese goods to Europe) in Southeast Asia, also known as Batavia.

China, Bativia, 18th century.

Height 12.5 cm, length 18 cm, width 10.5 cm.

Average condition, visible cracks, especially in the center.
