CYLINDRICAL SACRIST FOUNTAIN in pewter with a nippled lid topped with a cross. It is decorated in relief with the scene depicting the Baptism of Christ and the Holy Sigil IHS
Hallmarking affixed to both sides of the cross:
1°- Hallmark with crowned lily
2°- Unidentified master hallmark: paschal lamb / star /… /
3°- Other indistinct hallmark affixed four times
Height: 25 cm
CHAMPAGNE, 18th century


The typology of this fountain does not present any particular regional characteristic, the attribution to Champagne is based on the configuration of the hallmarking.
In good used condition, the tap key is missing
