"1824 Silver-plated Copper Indictment Plaque"
This silver-plated copper insulating plaque, dated 1824, is a precious testimony to the history and craftsmanship of the 19th century. The insulating plaque was intended to preserve the imprints of the goldsmiths' marks and was used for the control of precious metals, manufactured objects and to protect the buyer from possible counterfeits.
